Greetings! As the 17th President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Iota Lambda Omega chapter, I am honored to welcome you to our chapter’s official website and virtual home. Since our chartering, in October 1972, Iota Lambda Omega chapter has established “A Legacy of Sisterhood and Service” in our community. As the first graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in Howard County, Maryland, for over 50 years, we have provided engaging, empowering, and enduring programs and events to meet the diverse needs of the Howard County community.

Iota Lambda Omega chapter joins the over 1000 chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in executing the vision of our International President, Danette Reed through the Soaring the Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service platform. In addition, Iota Lambda Omega chapter supports chapter-specific programs and initiatives, such as an annual Coat Day, local food pantries, an annual Teen Summit, and MESA program for middle school students.

As a chapter of over 350  dynamic and distinguished women, Iota Lambda Omega chapter is an energetic chapter where each member is “Inspired to Serve, Empowered to Lead.” Our members are encouraged to develop and use their unique talents and skills to support innovative and impactful chapter programming and activities.
